Songfacts®:

  • This is the first single from rapper Omarion's third studio album, Ollusion.
  • The track features Gucci Mane. The song was previously recorded with Lil Wayne and featured on The Young Money founder's mixtape the Leak Reload. After Omarion left Lil Wayne's record label, he decided to redo the track with Gucci Mane.
  • Omarion explained the reasoning behind the album title to MTV News: "Everything is based on perception, and I'm a testament of perception. All the moves I made, things might look a certain way, and they may be at times, but they might not. You always got to dig deeper and ask the questions."
  • On this song, Omarion sings, "I done cut the braids, low cut, got my grown on." In do so he's referencing a turning point in his career when he shed his signature hairstyle in the summer of 2009. The R&B singer told Billboard magazine: "I felt like my braids defined who I was, and there's so much more to me. I'm not a kid in the industry anymore; I have a sense of self." Omarion added: "It's the first record I've put out since [2005's] 'Touch' that has a high-energy dance vibe. I have a new look and my own label now, so it felt like the right way to kick things off."
