Songfacts®:

  • One Direction's Louis Tomlinson wrote this melancholic breakup song with regular collaborator Julian Bunetta and American songwriter Jacob Kasher, whose other credits include Lunchmoney Lewis' "Bills" and Maroon 5's "Sugar."
  • The song is about loving a girl after breaking up with them and the desire to share one more night together. Louis described the song as being "the most personal" song on Made In The A.M.: "It was one of those moments when the song was starting to come together, you felt a real excitement for it," he said in a video interview. "Just the idea of the song is interesting to me. Everybody has that song after a breakup where you do have to see your ex again, and it's kind of about that."
