  • Ryan Tedder and OneRepublic bassist Brent Kutzle co-wrote "Runaway" with Ben Samama, Johnny Simpson and Nolan Sipe.

    Dutch born, LA based, topliner/producer Ben Samama has had cuts with likes of Lil Wayne, KSI, Lukas Graham and Maggue Lindeman.

    Johnny Simpson is one of Lauv's go-to producers. He also co-wrote Jonas Brothers' hit song "Waffle House."

    Nolan Sipe's resumé also includes hit songs by Andy Grammer ("Honey, I'm Good"), Parmalee ("Just The Way") and Mimi Webb ("Ghost Of You").
  • Ben Samama and Brent Kutzle produced the energetic anthem with John Nathaniel. Montreal-based producer John Nathaniel has credits on eight tracks of OneRepublic's 2021 album, Human.
  • OneRepublic first performed "Runaway" at Taipei Arena in Taiwan during their Southeast Asia tour on March 8, 2023. They released it as a single on May 26, 2023.
  • The "Runaway" music video was directed by Tomás Whitmore. He filmed it in Singapore, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, and Tokyo during the band's Asian tour.
