Songfacts®:

  • "House Of Memories" is about being lonely while in love. In the early months of Brendon Urie's relationship with his romantic partner, it was strong and beautiful, and they had high hopes and expectations for their future together. But as time went on, their passion diluted and the fantasies Urie had of a perfect union proved unrealistic. Now, memories of past lovers haunt him, and with their union on the rocks, Urie wonders how his soon-to-be ex will remember it.
  • Brendon Urie co-wrote "House Of Memories" with his producer, Jake Sinclair, and Morgan Kibby, who goes by the stage name White Sea. Kibby, a Los Angeles singer-songwriter, was a member of the French electronic band M83 between 2001 and 2011 and has since contributed to several Panic at the Disco tracks. He co-wrote four of the Death of the Bachelor songs, including the single "Hallelujah."
  • In April 2022, "House of Memories" blew up on TikTok, causing it to chart in multiple countries. The song reached the Top 20 in Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, and Slovakia.
  • Because of the song's spike in popularity, Panic At The Disco released a House of Memories EP on October 28, 2022 with sped-up and slowed-down versions of the song as official tracks.
