Songfacts®:

  • "Come Around" is Papa Roach's ode to supporting friends and family when they're struggling with their mental health.

It's never easy when you're breaking down
But I'll be there when you come around

Frontman Jacoby Shaddix recalled that the band knew the song was special as soon as they'd laid it down. "We walked away from the track and kept humming the melody to it, and it's just one of those things that gets stuck in your head," he said.

Shaddix added: "Lyrically, this track's about sticking with your friend through thick and thin, or your loved one, as they're spiraling out."
  • The song was paired with a video dedicated to the band's longtime fan Mark Moreno. The clip, directed by Bryson Roatch, follows a day in the life of Moreno, who has been a Papa Roach fan since 2000. At the end of the visual, Shaddix invites him on stage, where he is presented with a platinum Papa Roach plaque in honor of his late sister, Elizabeth Santana Mercado, who died in 2016, as well as two passes allowing Moreno to attend any of the band's shows for free anywhere in the world for the rest of his life.
  • This was Papa Roach's fifth #1 on the Mainstream Rock Songs chart, following "Lifeline," "Face Everything And Rise," "Help," and "Born for Greatness."
