  • Jacoby Shaddix calls this song a "Callout to God." In our interview with the Papa Roach frontman, he explained that it's a very spiritual song, and that "God" is simply his name for a higher power. "I see God in music, I see God in people, I see it out here in the world now, so I'm seeing the world from a different perspective," he said. "I'm not trying to be preachy or anything like that, just talking about my experience, my strength and my hope."
  • Bassist Tobin Esperance explained the song's meaning. "I love the lyrics on it," he said. "It's about trying to find something to hold on to that can keep you strong, propel you forward, and be that light in your life. There's a lot of evil s--t that can take over, but you don't have to fall prey to it."
  • Jacoby Shaddix went through a very rough time in 2012 when the band was recording their previous album, The Connection. Working through alcoholism and a separation from his wife at this time inspired this song, which he says is about "learning how to let people love me."
