Songfacts®:

  • Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix cites his wife, Kelly, as inspiration for this track. The singer explained to Billboard magazine: "She was like, 'You always write songs about hard times... Look at our life together. We've been through so much, and we're still standing. Why don't you write a song about that?' So I did. I'm into commitment. I'm into the long haul - with my wife in particular, and my band. That's what that song is about. I'm definitely excited to see where our music goes now with this kind of new perspective on my life."
  • Bassist, Tobin Esperance, told The Daily Dust he thinks "Had Enough" is one of Papa Roach's greatest tracks: "I think songs like "March Out of the Darkness," "State of Emergency," "Carry Me," and "Had Enough" are the better written songs."
  • "Had Enough" was going to be made available as a single but label issues forced the band to abandon the release.
