  • McCartney explained to the Mail on Sunday that "The End Of The End" was going to be the last track on the album, but because it's a song about death, he was concerned that after hearing the album, listeners would be left on a downer. So he stuck this "little stompy rocker" on at the end. McCartney added: "I think it's good to talk about difficult subjects and then to get off it and just rock out."
