Songfacts®:

  • "Rari" offers us an extravagant joyride through Peso Pluma's world, with all the requisite trappings: high-end cars, shimmering jewelry, and an insatiable appetite for late-night revelry. If Gatsby had been born in Guadalajara and preferred corridos over Charleston, this might be his soundtrack.

The chorus lays out this vibe of excess and celebration:

En la Cadillac o en el Ferrari, -rrari, -rrari
Todas las noches ando de party, party, party
  • Peso Pluma co-wrote "Rari" with Mexican singer-songwriter Tombochio. Behind the boards, Peso teams up with Ernesto Fernández to create a soundscape that blends the earthy soul of música Mexicana with a contemporary pulse.

A producer, musician, and recording engineer, Fernández has collaborated with Peso Pluma on several of his hits, including "Luna" and "Ella Baila Sola" (with Eslabon Armado).

His work was so well-regarded in 2024 that Billboard saw fit to crown him Producer of the Year, an honor that presumably looks very nice framed above his mixing console.
  • Some buzz suggests "Rari" nods to Peso Pluma's relationship with social media personality and influencer Kenia OS, especially since she's featured in the single's cover art rocking a white dress.
