  • Peter Allen co-wrote this with Carole Bayer Sager, whom he collaborated with for about 10 years. The song first appeared on his 1974 album Continental American. Other Allen-Bayer Sager collaborations include "Don't Cry Out Loud," "Quiet Please, There's a Lady on Stage" and "I'd Rather Leave While I'm in Love."
  • Allen performed the song with the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall in 1981 where he became the first male performer to dance with the famous kick line.
  • A showstopping song, this was used in the bio-musical The Boy From Oz, which starred Hugh Jackman on Broadway in 2003. The original Aussie cast starred Todd McKenney in 1998.
