Songfacts®:

  • This is the first single by English pop singer and songwriter, Pixie Lott, from her second album. She described it to Real Radio Wales' David Hearne as, "an uptempo party track, which you can play at night clubs and dance to. It's just a feel good hi-energy type thing." The single hit UK radio on July 11, 2011.
  • The song was Pixie's third UK #1 single following her 2009 debut release "Mama Do" and its follow-up "Boys and Girls."
  • Pixie explained the album title: "I have decided to call the album 'Young Foolish Happy.' It was inspired by a lyric from an old soul song that I love by The Tams called 'Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy' - Young Foolish Happy pretty much sums up the vibe of my album. It's a feel good party album but with lots of soul. I also think its a great sentiment for all ages to live life by!"
