Songfacts®:

  • This was the second single to be released from the soundtrack to Plan B's film Ill Manors, a semi-autobiographical tale concerning various characters struggling amidst crime and violence in Forest Gate in London. The song was released July 2, 2012.
  • The song was produced by Plan B and Al Shux, who is best known for his Grammy-winning contribution to Jay-Z's "Empire State of Mind."
  • Plan B attacks in Ill Manors the prejudice of British society towards the underclass so its interesting to note that Shux himself comes from a privileged background. He is a grandson of British diplomat Sir Evelyn Shuckburgh.
