Songfacts®:

  • Playboi Carti is joined by Lil Uzi Vert on this trap cut. It is the fourth collaboration between the pair following "Lookin," Of Course We Ghetto Flowers", and "Left Right."
  • The song finds Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert facing up to rappers who are copying the pair's distinct trap style. Carti told Genius:

"Still waking up to niggas sounding like me. That's how I feel, and Uzi felt the same way. So it's lit."
  • Queens, New York-based producer Pi'erre Bourne supplied the beat. A regular supplier of Carti's instrumentations, this was one of their first collaborations. Carti said:

"My producer, I met him, and he made the beat. I felt like I had something to prove. He was so excited to work with me, and I was so excited to work with him. He was coming with it, so I had to come with it, too.

The vibes. Probably three in the morning, just had to say some real s--t. I freestyled my s--t, so it probably took me like two times in the booth. Come up with the some s--t, I just be saying some s--t. Repeat the same s--t. It was a hit."
