Songfacts®:

  • "All I Know So Far" is an empowering song in which Pink imparts some life wisdom to her daughter Willow Sage Hart. The singer beseeches her to remain strong and persevere when going through hardship. She warns Willow the darkness will come and go, but if she lays down her sword and dives into the pain then she'll "be proud of that skin full of scars."

Pink adds that her message of confronting problems head-on sums up the knowledge she has gained "so far" in life. She assures Willow she will be with her "till the world blows up" and they will face whatever ordeals she encounters together.
  • "All I Know So Far" is the title track of Pink's documentary/album of the same name. She penned the song with musical theater veterans Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the songwriters who provided the pop star with "A Million Dreams" from The Greatest Showman.
  • Pink released the song on May 7, 2021, a fortnight before Amazon Studios made the documentary film available on Prime Video. Speaking to Fleur East on Hits Radio Breakfast, just after dropping the single, Pink said, "It's always nerve wracking, but exciting, and I guess it's a little more pressure because it's the song of my life, I guess. I was put under zero pressure to try and encapsulate my life in three minutes. So, that's, kind of, what I did. I wrote a letter to Willow and put it to a melody and here it is."
  • Willow Sage was nine years old when Pink released the song. The "What About Us" singer and her daughter have worked together several times, including their 2021 duet, "Cover Me In Sunshine." Willow actually made her singing debut on a reprise of her mom's version of "A Million Dreams."
  • Greg Kurstin produced the track. The hit-making Californian's previous collaborations with Pink include "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" and "Walk Of Shame."
  • Dave Meyers directed the fantastical video, marking his 16th collaboration with the singer over a 22-year span dating back to her clip for 2000's "There You Go." The video is a fairytale version of Pink's life story that co-stars her husband Carey Hart and their children Willow and Jameson. There are also cameos from pop star Cher and actress Judith Light, who plays Pink's mom.
