Songfacts®:

  • Pink believes social media is distorting people's view of the world – an idea she expresses on this track about a relationship falling apart. She told UK newspaper The Sun:

"That song was inspired by a conversation I was having with a friend of mine who is going through a divorce. We were talking about social media and how we only sort of post the good stuff so we tend to start believing everybody else's life is better than ours, and it's all bulls--t."
  • This soulful track is a throwback to Pink's early days as an R&B singer. When she first landed a record deal with LaFace Records, she was a member of the R&B vocal trio Choice. Her solo debut, Can't Take Me Home, also established her as an up-and-coming R&B/pop songstress but she chucked it all and developed a pop-rock persona for her breakthrough followup, Missundaztood.
  • This debuted on Pink's seventh studio album, Beautiful Trauma. Pink co-wrote the track with Jack Antonoff (of the indie-rock band Fun) and singer-songwriter Sam Dew (Wale's "LoveHate Thing").
  • Beautiful Trauma was Pink's second #1 album in the US, following The Truth About Love (2012).
