  • Over marching drums, Pink sings about connecting with a loved one to find solidarity and peace amidst these dark times. The singer told Entertainment Weekly how her melancholy side emerged on the album due to the world's bitterness sometimes getting the best of her: "There's so much nastiness and so much bickering and so much blame and so much tension. I'm a person that's engaged in the world. I'm traveling throughout the world. I'm around a lotta people all the time. I'm on tour. I am a mother. I have children. I am thinking about all this stuff. I'm the goofiest mother f---er you're ever going to meet in your life. I laugh more than anybody I know because I like to take the piss out of everything. But I also have this contemplative, serious side and I know we're all a little bit anxious now. You can't help but feel that. But there's always humor and there's always dancing. These are songs that are a catalyst to all of us getting together to have group therapy and exorcise those demons."
  • Pink wrote the stomping anthemic pop song with:

Nate Ruess, who is the lead singer of the indie-pop band fun. He previously dueted with Pink on her 2012 hit single "Just Give Me A Reason."

New York-based musician Scott Harris, who is best known for his collaborations with Shawn Mendes. He co-wrote 10 songs on the Canadian's debut album Handwritten and another 10 songs on Mendes' sophomore LP Illuminate, including the Juno single of the year "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back." Harris contributed towards thirteen tracks on Mendes' third eponymous disc, including the lead single "In My Blood."
  • Pink debuted the foot-stomping song at the 2019 BRIT Awards on February 20, 2019, where she was honored with the Outstanding Contribution to Music award.
  • The song's music video was filmed by The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey. Pink has a connection with the musical having covered the song "A Million Dreams" for The Greatest Showman: Reimagined soundtrack. The magical visual opens with Pink walking in the midst of a throng of people on a busy city street when, suddenly, the people disappear and traffic freezes. The singer, wearing a flowing red dress, takes advantage of the solitude by dancing in the neon-lit streets with only the shadows as her partners.
  • Hurts 2B Human, Pink's eighth studio album, is her third consecutive #1 album in the US, following The Truth About Love and Beautiful Trauma.
  • Pink wrote and recorded most of the album during her Beautiful Trauma World Tour. She thought she was gathering material for an EP, but it turned into a full-fledged album. "It came together without me knowing that I was making an album," she explained.
