Songfacts®:

  • Over a bass-heavy beat, Pop Smoke raps braggadocios lyrics about his opulent and gangsta lifestyle. The song title stands for Audemars Piguet, who is a Swiss manufacturer of luxury mechanical watches.
  • The drill track first originated as a collaboration with Rich the Kid, who teased his verse and Pop Smoke's chorus in April 2020. By the time Victor Victor released it as a single on February 24, 2021, Rich the Kid's contribution had been removed.
  • The song features on the soundtrack to the movie Boogie, which tells the coming-of-age story of Queens basketball prodigy Alfred "Boogie" Chin, who dreams of one day playing in the NBA. Pop Smoke, making his debut film appearance, plays the character Monk, a slick-talking hooper who is Boogie's on-court rival. Tragically, the rapper never got to see the completed film as he was killed in a shooting in February 2020.
  • The beat is courtesy of:

London-based drill producer 808Melo, who worked on the entirety of Pop Smoke's 2019 debut mixtape, Meet the Woo, and most of the tracks on Meet the Woo 2.

Brooklyn producer Rico Beats, who is most known for his work with Pusha T ("40 Acres," "Exodus 23:1") and Nicki Minaj ("Roman Reloaded"). His previous collaborations with Pop Smoke include the Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon (Deluxe) track "Hello."
