  • Post Malone became a father in May 2022 when he welcomed a daughter with his fiancée. The proud dad kept her name private, but he has her initials "DDP" tattooed on his forehead. Post wrote this touching song about his beloved little girl.
  • "Yours" is a love letter to the future wedding of Post's now pint-sized princess. Despite her being just a toddler, he wistfully imagines the day he'll walk her down the aisle, a pink-dress memory giving way to wedding white. Debuting this heartstring-tugger in Nashville on July 16, 2024, Post chuckled at the notion of getting ahead of himself. "I got a 2-year-old, and we got a long time to go," he noted.

It's a sentiment that echoes Kenny Chesney's "There Goes My Life," but with a Malone twist.
  • "Yours" is the closing track on F-1 Trillion, Post Malone's first country album. The bulk of the record, including "Yours" was produced by his longtime cohorts Louis Bell (Taylor Swift, Halsey, Kanye West) and Charlie Handsome (Kanye West, Jack Harlow, Ariana Grande).
  • Though Bell and Handsome are better known for their work in pop and hip-hop, Post ensured the album's country bona fides by co-writing the tracks with various Nashville heavyweights. He co-penned "Yours" with Ashley Gorley and Taylor Philips.

Ashley Gorley has also worked extensively with the likes of Morgan Wallen, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton, Hardy and many others.

Taylor Phillips' resumé includes Luke Combs' "Hurricane," Kane Brown's "Like I Love Country Music" and Morgan Wallen's "Thinkin' Bout Me."
  • Post Malone delivered a heartfelt and emotional performance of "Yours" during the 2024 CMAs, which he dedicated to his young daughter.
