Songfacts®:

  • This was former Celebrity Big Brother star Samuel Preston's first solo single after recording three albums as the frontman of the ska-tinged rock act, The Ordinary Boys.
  • This single's electro pop sound has surprised many of Preston's fans. Digital Spy asked the former Ordinary Boys singer why he has seemingly relaunched himself as an electro-pop star: Said Preston: "I've always liked electronic music. Four or five years ago there were bands like The Rapture and LCD Soundsystem, who I loved, and then there's raw electronic pop bands like Think About Life, who I've always loved too. Also, it's been three years since the last Ordinary Boys album and I'm sure we would have progressed as a band if we'd stuck together."
  • Preston is best known for his relationship with Chantelle Houghton, whom he famously met on Celebrity Big Brother. Digital Spy asked him if he thinks people will read this song's lyrics and think they're about Chantelle. Preston replied: "They already have and it's funny. It's impossible to totally remove yourself. When you go in the studio, you get into this Mad Professor mode and you do whatever you have to do to write the song. I try to focus more on the sound of words, but that can get a little bit one-dimensional. I hadn't read them back in that context, but I've had people read them back to me and they are quite incriminating."
  • The song samples the introduction from by Siouxsie and The Banshees' 1980 single "Happy House."
