  • Lenny Kravitz provided backing vocals for the chorus but wasn't credited on the release because he was signed to a different record label.

  • Lori P from EnglandI listen to this track every day because I love the horns, but every time I hear it, I am convinced the words at the end are "I'm so tired mf's". I know it's listed as supposedly being Y'all so tight" but it still sounds wrong to me. Would love to know who's saying this and which one is right.
  • Chris from San Bernardino, CaPrince doesn't actually say "CJ, Billy Jack Bitch"...instead he says "See "j": Billy Jack Bitch". The line actually goes: "Then U can see joy/It's in the dictionary/See "J"/Billy Jack Bitch"...it was a clever way of slightly disguising that he was calling CJ a bitch lol. For anyone who doesn't know, CJ never passed up an opportunity to talk negatively about Prince in her gossip column. After years of dealing with it, this song basically became Prince's response to her.
  • Caitlin from Crystal Lake, IlHey Check out the new Spin Magazine digital edition, it is tribute to Prince

  • Pat from St. Paul, MnThis song has some amazing brass horn playing. Listen to the horns at about 4:30 into the song. The brass are so together and are playing such difficult and fantastic harmonies that I could listen to this song forever. I'm sure the horn playing is what inspired the comment at the end of the song, "Y'all some tight MF'ers." Prince has always had superb musicians accompany him, which is one reason I'm a big fan.
  • Julie from Kingsport, Tnvery interesting.
