Songfacts®:

  • This Sunny Productions helmed cut almost never made it onto At Your Inconvenience due to its reference to Green's father, who hung himself in 2008. Speaking to The Sun, the East London rapper admitted: "The one thing on this album that really, really made me uncomfortable is the last lyric on 'Forever Falling,' where I say, 'They just found my daddy hanging from a tree.'"

He added: "That, I'm not wholly comfortable with. But it's there and it's the most emotive song on the album."
  • The song features the vocals of R&B singer Haydon Eshun, who had five UK top 40 hits in the 1990s as the lead singer of boy band Ultimate Kaos. Eshun was just 14 when their 1994 single "Some Girls" peaked at #9. After Ultimate Kaos split up in 1999, he appeared on the television program, Reborn in the USA, released a solo album titled Justice and appeared in the West End stage musical Thriller Live.
