Songfacts®:

  • When in songwriting mode Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin habitually stays up all night trying to capture new song ideas for his band. This does not always meet with other members of his household. Scantlin explained to Billboard magazine with a laugh that his wife often comes down the stairs at about 4:30 a.m. to ask him, "When are you coming to bed? Are you ever coming to bed - ever?" The musician went on to explain that he used his wife's complaints as inspiration for this song. "She's my little muse," he said.
