Songfacts®:

  • Much like "I Spy" and several other album songs off the Different Class album, "F.E.E.L.I.N.G.C.A.L.L.E.D.L.O.V.E" was a popular live favorite and secured a place in the band's set, particularly in the 2011-2012 reunion tour gigs and numerous festival appearances.
  • On the "Something Changed" single, several versions of this song are included as B-sides - an epic live version recorded at the Brixton Academy in December 1995, and a remix by then-up-and-coming dance duo Moloko, which Jarvis Cocker is in print as saying he liked very much and predicted great things for the duo who would go on to have a string of successes until disbanding in 2003.
  • This song inspired the title for the live concert video "F.E.E.L.I.N.G.C.A.L.L.E.D.L.I.V.E." (changing one letter - very original), released in October 1996 off the back of the huge success of the Different Class album. This live concert video was a full recording of the same December 1995 Brixton Academy show that the live B-side version for the "Something Changed" single was taken from, and this show was later included on the Ultimate Live DVD in 2003 - although with a noticeable manufacturing flaw on some versions which slowed the playback of the original show, making the band sound lower-pitched and at times quite out-of-tune!
