Songfacts®:

  • Pusha T is joined here by Jay-Z as both MCs rap bars about their past life as street hustlers. Jay-Z and Pusha T previously worked together on Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy track "So Appalled," which also had Cyhi the Prynce, Swizz Beatz, and RZA. This is the first collaboration featuring just these two on the same track without other guests.
  • Over an eerie, grungy beat provided by DJ Dahi, the two MCs rap a verse each, referencing their former days as drug dealers. Separating the two verses is a sample of conservative commentator Tomi Lahren from her show, Tomi. The clip contains her criticism of Beyoncé's provocative halftime performance at Super Bowl 50, in which she states, "Your husband was a drug dealer. For 14 years, he sold crack cocaine."

Jay's verse contains a direct response to Lahren, stating: "14-year drug dealer and still counting."
  • Jay-Z raps:

    Thanks to the lawyers
    I marbled the foyer
    I tore the floor up
    Yeah, that's for Koi fish
    We been dining on oysters

    Pusha wrote on Genius:

"This is my favorite bar in Hov's joint, when he tells me, he marbled the lobby and then tore the floor up and that's for the Koi fish.

I don't know what's better, the fact that it's a lifestyle bar or the fact he does not care enough to know that everybody is not going to get that.

Everybody ain't been to Crustaceans and seen koi fish swimming under their feet as they walk into the restaurant. But, you'll figure it out one day. And you'll go, 'Ahh.'"
