Songfacts®:

  • This song is about lies and deception. The title does not appear in the lyrics, but it's a reference to a bad poker hand. The singer, without much to work with, tries to bluff his way through life to get what he wants. >>>
    Suggestion credit:
    Jeremy - Cypress, CA
  • 3's and 7's upside down almost spells "LIE" with the 7 being the "L" and the 3 being the "E". This also relates to the meaning of the song. This interpretation has been discussed by many fans, however whether it was intentional is unknown.
  • The video for 3's and 7's was directed by Paul Minor and is very similar to the Grindhouse movie Death Proof by Quentin Tarantino. It is a fake trailer for the fictional movie "3's and 7's" and features a gang of dominant women driving fast cars and fighting villains. >>>
    Suggestion credit:
Marc - United Kingdom, for above 2
