  • Raheem DeVaughn explained the story behind the song during an interview with The Boombox. "I love women - all types, all colors, petite, plus size," he said. "But in particular, I was raised by black women and I feel like there is just something beautiful about black women. The song starts off creative and flirtatious with innuendoes and things... I wanted to be poetic but like 'Damn, did he just say that?'"
  • According to The Encyclopedia of Trivia, ice cream was invented in China in AD. 618–907, China's T'ang period, when someone packed a soft milk-and-rice mixture in snow. The founder of the dynasty, King T'ang of Shang, kept 94 "ice men" on hand to lug ice to the palace to make a dish made of koumiss (heated, fermented milk), flour, and camphor.
  • Ice cream is one of the most commonly referenced foods in pop music, both literally and as a double entendre. Other artists that have recorded songs with 'ice cream' in the title include Van Halen, Glasvegas, Dorrough, Sean Kingston and Blur.
