  • Before becoming Rammstein's lead vocalist, Till Lindemann's former jobs included basket weaver, Olympic swimmer, peat cutter, carpenter, technician and drummer.
  • Rammstein is a German band. Literally translated, their name means "Ramming Stone."
  • Olli, Doom, and Richard were first in a band called the Orgasm Death Gimmicks.
  • During Buck Dich Live Aus Berlin, Till pulled out a French wine squirting dildo and simulated sodomy with Flake. They were arrested and fined $125 for the incident.
  • Rammstein's shows are very wild, with lots of pyrotechnics. Richard Kruspe-Bernstein had this to say: "The aim is to get people's attention and have fun at the same time: You have to understand that 99% of the people don't understand the lyrics, so you have to come up with something to keep the drama in the show. We have to do something. We like to have a show; we like to play with fire. We do have a sense of humor. We do laugh about it; we have fun, but we're not Spinal Tap. We take the music and the lyrics seriously. It's a combination of humor, theater and our East German culture, you know?"

Also, Olli or Flake surf around on the crowd in a rubber dinghy during Seemann. >>

  • Rammstein was named after the Ramstein air show disaster, a mid-air collision between three stunt planes that killed 70 people and wounded approximately 1,000 others.
  • Drummer Christoph "Doom" Schneider's music history predates the Berlin Wall coming down in Germany. His first proper band, Die Firma, was part of the underground music scene in the late '80s and included two government spies. "What was funny was that I couldn't imagine any harder band than mine at the time," Schneider told Metal Hammer, "and we had two people actually in the band who were spies – the singer and the keyboard player! Ha ha! Incredible."

Actually, the only time they were arrested for performing Bueck Dich was when they performed it in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA.
