Songfacts®:

  • This Justin Wilson, Ben Hayslip and Chris Janson penned tune was released as the second single from Fired Up. Randy Houser explained to Radio.com: "'Song Number 7' is just a fun sort of song... I think it's about as poppy of a song as we've cut on this record. It's straight down the middle; it just talks about listening to a record with a girl, and when you get to song number seven's when things heat up usually. So it's fairly simple, and guess what number it is on the album. Number seven."
  • "It's one of those songs that, you hear it, and you can't help but sing along with it almost immediately Houser told The Tennessean. "That's the kind of songs I wanted for this album and I wanted to play live. I want people out there singing and having fun."
