  • Raye regrets messing up a relationship. She was young, wild and "a little too proud," so her lover decided to move on. Now she's on the phone to her ex hoping to win him back.

Hello, how you doing? I was wondering if
There's something I could do to make you love me again"
Love me again, love me again
Something I could do to make you love me again

Raye told OfficialCharts.com the lyrics are honest, touching on things she's going through. "Music for me is like baring your soul," she said. "It feels amazing to get it out. It empowers me, [which is] a beautiful thing. It's like a diary put out there for everyone to listen to."
  • Raye wrote the ode to winning back a lost love with frequent Jess Glynne collaborator Janee "Jin Jin" Bennett ("Right Here," "All I Am").
  • The track was produced by Norway-born Fred Ball, who has also worked with Rihanna ("Love on the Brain") and Little Mix ("Boy").
  • The song features a different sound for Raye, who was experimenting with an '80s-type groove she'd fallen in love with. "That reverb snare and 4/4 [time signature] - the feeling of that," she said. "I think you can get really soulful with it but you still keep it as something people can move to."
