Songfacts®:

  • Dardan Aliu is a DJ from Kosovo who records under the name of Regard. He released this house-pop song as the follow up to his remix of Jay Sean's "Ride It," which became an international hit after becoming a viral sensation on TikTok.
  • The song is a collaboration with Raye, who supplies the vocals. Speaking to Jordan Lee on Hits Radio, the British singer-songwriter explained that her original version was a slow R&B number.

"It's a funny one because I'd written the topline to a completely different song, with the same lyrics and melody, and it was a lot slower," Raye explained. "And then Regard, I sent it to him, and he sped it up, gave it a whole new chord thing, put these instruments in, gave it this crazy drop. He like, reignited what was a slow R&B song and made it into some rejuvenated sexy, pop-dance banger."
  • Raye has form for supplying guest vocals on dance bangers. Her previous hit collaborations include ones with Jax Jones ("You Don't Know Me" and "Tequila") and Jonas Blue ("By Your Side").
