Songfacts®:

  • Rescue Signals lead singer/guitarist Beau Tyler singles this out as a song on Indecisions that has special meaning to him. Tyler told Songfacts: "Tell Me That You're Wrong' is special to me on several plains. On a very basic level, I love that everyone loves to perform it. It's one of the simpler songs to play, technically speaking, but it's everyone's favorite song to perform because it's so intense... at least live. On a personal level I really connect with the lyric. 'I'm tripping on my tongue for the words to say, it never comes out right.' I love how relatable that is. You're trying to stop someone from leaving you, who has to leave, but there's really no hope. It all feels like a dream in those sort of moments. You punch but there's no strength behind it. You run, but your legs won't move. You speak, but there's no words. It's like watching a train wreck in slow motion. But you just can't stop it. Musically, the song feels the exact same way. The spectrum of our music is pretty Bi-polar. But 'Tell Me That You're Wrong' is right in the middle of what we do. It's a very accurate representation of what we do."
