Songfacts®:

  • Restless Heart pianist Dave Innis and bassist Paul Gregg wrote this song as a result of band's time traveling the world on USO tours playing for the military families and just touring air bases. Dave Innis told Songfacts: "We were in Iraq and Kuwait and Qatar and Okinawa and Japan and Korea and all over UK and in Germany, touring and meeting men and women in our armed forces and their families. As a result of that we wrote 'Home.'"
  • This has become a show-stopper for the band when they perform it live. According to Dave Innis, 99% of the time it gets a standing ovation.
