Songfacts®:

  • In 2010 Ricky Martin came out as a homosexual, ending years of fan speculation on the topic. Despite this, the song finds him singing to a woman, "You're beautiful, like the waves in the sea." He told Billboard magazine: "Many people say, 'But Ricky, you've said you're gay.' And I say, 'Well, doesn't mean I'm blind. And I've also been in love with women before.'"
  • Wisin and Yandel originally wrote this song, and after falling in love with the song's melody, Martin sat down with the Puerto Rican reggaeton duo and producer Desmond Child to personalize the lyrics.
  • A remix radio version was also recorded for Musica + Alma + Sexo featuring Wisin and Yandel.
