Songfacts®:

  • Rita Ora co-wrote this song with Andrew Watt when she was based in LA in early 2017. Ora recalled: "I was in a routine, working every day, and found myself day dreaming about breaking out of the city and going on a road trip with my friends and never looking back."
  • Former California Breed guitarist Andrew Watt is the hitmaker behind DJ Snake featuring Justin Bieber's "Let Me Love You", Kygo featuring Selina Gomez's "It Ain't Me" and Camila Cabello's "Havana."
  • Rita Ora wrote the song in Los Angeles, while she was missing her hometown of London. "I felt really still and stuck," she told the BBC Radio 1 show. "I just felt really slow and I wanted to listen to a song I could drive into the distance with. I wrote this song because I wanted to hit the road."
  • The video was shot on the streets of New York. "I was literally grabbing people from the street and kissing them," Rita revealed. "They were looking at me like I was crazy. They were all really good and wanted to be involved."
