  • This standalone single featured Rita Ora's then-boyfriend, the Scottish DJ and producer Calvin Harris. When asked by Nick Grimshaw on his BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show what it was like working with her man, she confessed: "Honestly, it was so natural. I wouldn't have done it if it didn't make any sense."

"I was never really against [working with] people I'm involved with [and] doing something personally," Ora added. "We were sitting at home, he started humming and then I started humming and then we hummed together!"
  • The song plays in the background during a commercial for British cosmetics brand Rimmel's "Color Rush" collection. The ad features Ora striking some poses during a photoshoot to promote the product.
  • Speaking with Paper magazine, Ora described this as, "a very important song to me because it's a love song, but it reminds you of Whitney. And that was the vibe we were on. We just wanted to feel good."

She added: "You know that feeling of 'How Will I Know' with the synth? It just makes you feel happy; that's what I wanted to create."
  • Ora admitted to Nick Grimshaw that she was a bit nervous collaborating with Harris, as he'd never seen her before in work mode. "I was like, 'What if I riff a bit bad?'" she said. "But literally just ten minutes in he was so blunt, I think it's the Scottish-ness in him, he was just like 'no' etc and it happened so quick. It was a very good experience."

"It's about having fun... and cos I take everything so seriously, I'm always a bit like work, work," Ora continued. "He's like, you really need to just enjoy it. And I agree, so I'm just enjoying it right now. And I'm happy we kinda did it together. It's a nice little feeling for me, it makes it personal."
  • A remix by Switch was included on Pepsi's curated album, Beats of the Beautiful Game, a compilation of upbeat anthems released to coincide with the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

British DJ and producer Switch is best known for his work with M.I.A.
  • Rita Ora broke up with Calvin Harris a few months after the single's release but she still cherishes the love they had in the past. "This song was written out of love," she said during an On Air with Ryan Seacrest radio interview. "I don't want anybody to have like a dark cloud over this song."
