Songfacts®:

  • The first single from Rizzle Licks' third album, this is their first straightforward love song. They emphasize, however, that it is "Not a soppy one."
  • The song was first heard as the soundtrack to a promotional video for Evian mineral water. The Wimbledon-themed visual starred Maria Sharapova and saw the Rizzle Kicks duo vying for attention from their tennis star crush.
  • A second video was released, which was directed by the Lennox Brothers, who have also worked with Ellie Goulding and Kasabian. The clip follows the significantly shrunken Rizzle Kicks duo driving around in a miniature monster truck.
  • The soulful song was recorded with Ben Cullum, brother of Jamie. Jordan told The Sun: "I was filming a TV show and Harley used the time to go into the studio and start cresting some new stuff."

"'Tell Her' was part of the first batch and obviously it sounded wicked on demo, with the beat and his verse. Harley took the idea to Ben Cullum and it worked out well really."
