  • Roberto Concina was a Swiss-born Italian trance producer, musician and DJ, who performed under the name of Robert Miles.
  • "Children," Robert Miles' debut and biggest hit, was written to save clubbers lives. He penned it as a calming last song in his set, prior to the young ravers driving home, as a means to reduce car accident deaths.
  • After "Children", Miles clocked up several more European hits in the late 1990s including "Fable", "One And One" and "Freedom" (featuring Kathy Sledge of Sister Sledge). He released six studios albums, his last being 2011's Th1rt3en.
  • The DJ retreated from the limelight in later years and dedicated his time to running the Balearic radio station, Open Lab, which he founded in 2012.
  • Miles died in Ibiza, Spain, on May 9, 2017 at the age of 47 after a short illness.
