Songfacts®:

  • "Haute couture" is French for "high sewing" or "high dressmaking"; the term refers to the business of making expensive, high-quality clothes of original design. This song (the title was purposely written without the "h") highlights Rosalia's passion for fashion.

    (English translation)
And all the girls have style
Haute couture, everything is given to me
"Divain" nails, they've already copied me
I'll nail them on you, boy, be careful
  • The song was released on May 30, 2019, a year to the day after Rosalia dropped her breakthrough single "Malamente." It was already a familiar track to many of the singer's fans, who had seen her perform it during her El Mal Querer live shows.
