Songfacts®:

  • Royksopp borrowed for this various instrumental and vocal samples from a Bacharach and David song "Blue on Blue" sang by a Swedish group Gals & Pals. The best known recording of "Blue On Blue" was by Bobby Vinton in 1963.
  • This was Royksopp's first ever single release in 1999. Originally only 500 copies were made. It was re-released in 2002 as a double a-side along with "Remind Me" to tie in with the Norwegian duo's debut album.
  • Royksopp are Torbjörn Brundtland and Svein Berge, an ambient dance duo from Tromsø, Norway. The name means "puff ball" (like the fungus).
  • This was used in a series of television adverts for T-Mobile.
  • Melody A.M. was voted "the 00's best Norwegian album" - in Norway.
