When songwriters R.P. Weston and Bert Lee met at the office of David Day of the London firm Francis, Day & Hunter in 1915, it was the start of a twenty year partnership that would see then writing a song a day, and much other material besides.

The first song on which they collaborated - and which was published that same year - was "Cupids Alley" (optional apostrophe). According to Roy Hudd in his 1985 Theatrephile article on the pair, it was a big hit on both sides of the Atlantic. >>>
