Nique La France - Devoir D'insolence Avec Saïddou

Album: not on an album (2010)

Songfacts®:

  • This translates as "F--k France - The Duty To Be Insolent," and is the title of a book as well as a song put out by sociologist Saïd Bouamama and the rapper Saidou of Z.E.P. in 2010.

This edifying ditty includes (in translation):

F--k France and its colonialist past, its paternalist smells, stenches, and reflexes
F--k France and its imperialist history, its capitalist walls, fortresses and delusions

In January 2015, Bouamama told the UK "radical" newspaper Socialist Worker they produced these works to show the country's youth they were not isolated. Needless to say, the legal authorities took a different view, and the two men were dragged into court for "public insult." >>>
