  Sam Fender's nurse mom suffered from fibromyalgia, which affected her mental health and her ability to work. He told The Guardian: "I had a sense of helplessness. You haven't got a job, you're only 17."
• Seventeen Going Under debuted at #1 on the UK albums chart, earning Fender his second chart-topping UK album. The Geordie singer-songwriter's record amassed 44,000 sales in its first week, outselling the rest of the Top 10 combined.

The track's recording coincided with the news that Humberstone had won the 2022 BRITs Rising Star award. Fender – who collected the same honor in 2019 – presented the trophy to her during their studio session.
