Album: Musical Chairs (1977)

Songfacts®:

  • Although this track was released the same year as the much better-known Queen song (1977), the two have nothing in common, and their appearance so was almost certainly coincidence rather than plagiarism - something that happened with the 1977 Eddie & The Hot Rods track "Do Anything You Wanna Do" and the 1979 Thin Lizzy track "Do Anything You Want To" (which contains the same line).
  • "Don't Stop Me Now" was co-written by Hagar and Carter (John Carter), who produced the Musical Chairs album on which it is track number 6. Heavily guitar-based, it is somewhat downtempo, and runs to around 3 minutes 12 seconds. >>>
