Carnaval

Album: Festival (1977)

Songfacts®:

  • Not to be confused with the later Natalie Merchant song "Carnival," this is the first track on the 1977 Festival album. Running to a mere 2:15, it was co-written by Carlos Santana and Tom Coster. In addition to his de rigueur lead guitar, Carlos introduces the track with a whistle and hand-held percussives. He has also been known to supply the odd vocal. This uptempo, fun track segues into "Let The Children Play." >>>
