Album: Moonflower (1977)

Songfacts®:

  • Written by keyboard player Tom Coster, the title track of the double Moonflower album was recorded in the studio. Running to 5 minutes 1 second, there is no fancy stuff or fretboard wizardry on this guitar-based instrumental, just Carlos doing what he does best, playing melodic rock/jazz/blues, whatever you want to call this pleasing eclectic mix. >>>

  • Al from HoustonNo fancy stuff? What about when he starts wailing at 2:00...man Carlos just goes off and the special thing here is the song does begin pretty casual, almost like elevator music, pleasant, easy. But then to hear him jam in the middle, just amazing. Not many can play like that. Love it..
