Songfacts®:

  • Clocking in at just under two minutes, this menacing track finds Schoolboy Q dishing out a barrage of threats.

Got a plan, we gon' kill his man
The gun won't jam, it's on on sight
I might get life, that's on my life
The .44 fire, the goal green light

Q's willingness to shoot his haters also serves as a metaphor that he is ready to kill it in the rap game.
  • Num num juice is an alcoholic drink containing equal parts of vodka, 7 Up, and Cran-apple juice. It also serves as California slang for alcohol, a name which was coined by Bay Area rapper E-40 on his 1999 track "Earl That's Yo' Life."
  • Nez & Rio co-produced the song. The Chicago duo have helmed a lot of Schoolboy Q's songs, including "Man of the Year" and "Gangsta."
  • The other beatmaker was Ear Drummers-signed producer DJ Fu. He was called in to come up with a new beat after Q's people were unable to clear a Silent Hill video game sample on the original track.
