Songfacts®:

  • This was sung with the backing of the St. Thomas More School Choir.
  • The tune was taken from the main theme of the Maestoso from Saint-Saens Symphony No.3 in C minor ("Organ Symphony"). The lyrics were written by Jonathan Hodge, who has written many TV jingles and movie themes.
  • The song can also be heard in the 1995 film Babe sung by both Farmer Hoggett (James Cromwell) and a trio of mice.
  • Though both artists were one hit wonders, Scott Fitzgerald did reach #52 in the UK in 1988 with "Go," the British Eurovision song contest entry for 1988. It came second in the competition behind Celine Dion singing "Ne Partez Sans Moi" for Switzerland. Yvonne Keeley is a top session singer. >>>
