Songfacts®:

  • This song was written by the gospel star Matthew West with See You Tonight producer Frank Rogers. Scotty recorded the album whilst attending North Carolina State University and took the opportunity to try out some of the potential tracks on his pals. "With me being in college, I live with three buddies, so I bounced ideas and songs off of them," he said. "So far, they are partial to 'Feeling It,' so we'll see how that one does. My roommates say that one is going to be my biggest song yet!"
  • The song's music video was directed by Roman White, who has helmed many of Carrie Underwood's clips. It was filmed on Bodie Island, a long, narrow barrier peninsula that forms the northernmost portion of the Outer Banks off the coast of North Carolina.

Scotty has spent many vacations with his family there. "We tried to incorporate some scenes and some places that I went to as a kid and all that jazz," he said. "For my videos, I like to have personal touches, otherwise they're just another video on the channel. My second video was filmed at my high school, 'See You Tonight' was filmed at my college and 'Feelin' It' was filmed at the beach I grew up going to, so it's fun to look back and see those videos and have some memories there."
