Songfacts®:

  • McCreery closes his See You Tonight album with this acoustic guitar/mandolin tune, which finds him paying tribute to the type of Country music he enjoys. Scotty penned the song with his producer Frank Rogers, who has racked up hits with Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, and Josh Turner.
  • This also finds Scotty describing his yearning for more substance than is often found in today's country songs. He sings: "By now, I think I've heard every line there is to hear about a truck." The North Carolina native explained: "I grew up with the older-style country, so you hear the more heartfelt things, whether it was somebody hurting or dying. These are songs that had a deep meaning to them and are more than just riding around in a truck and falling in love with a hot girl. I enjoy listening to something that has a deep meaning to it."
