  • "Why You Gotta Be Like That" drew inspiration from a real-life experience. "My wife Gabi and I had a date night the evening before I wrote 'Why You Gotta Be Like That,'" explained McCreery. "She came downstairs looking gorgeous as usual and, well... the song tells the rest of the story."
  • McCreery co-wrote the playful song with James McNair and Jordan Schmidt. The trio also wrote the Same Truck deluxe version cut "Nothin' Right" alongside Jared Mullins. "Writing with James and Jordan is always so much fun," said McCreery, "and I think that genuine feeling comes through in the song as well."
  • Scotty McCreery paid a heartfelt tribute to his Puerto Rican heritage by joining forces with Colombian singer-songwriter GUSI to re-record the track. The newly envisioned rendition, titled "Why She Gotta Be Like That," intertwines Latin guitar embellishments into its fabric. In this version, McCreery delivers the first verse in English while GUSI takes on the second verse in Spanish. As the song progresses, their voices blend harmoniously, seamlessly merging both languages on the bridge and chorus.
  • The up-tempo "Why She Gotta Be Like That" diverges from the traditional country music structure, creating a bilingual jam. It becomes a noteworthy addition to the rich tapestry of country-Latin collaborations, harkening back to iconic duets like Willie Nelson's partnership with Julio Iglesias on timeless hits like "To All The Girls I've Loved Before." The tradition continues with recent collaborations such as Carrie Underwood's alliance with David Bisbal on "Tears of Gold," Midland's Spanish rendition of "Drinkin' Problem" featuring Jay De La Cueva, and Kane Brown's remix of "Lost in the Middle of Nowhere" alongside Becky G.
